A Saturday In Moments, A Quick Road Trip

What are you thankful for this weekend? I thank God for winter, because I love knits, snow and the steam we breath out on a chilly day! I am also thankful for the lovely prizes I can give in my Blogiversary Giveaway which is currently live on the blog! There are lots of lovely prizes to win, don't forget to check it out and enter Here

As I mentioned in this post, my husband and I went on a road trip to London last weekend, on a Megabus. A pretty long journey normally is made great when you are with a loved one or someone you can chat and chill with throughout. We woke up pretty early to get ready for the trip and the duvet just tried to call me right back to the warm bed! To be fair, I don't mind coach trips when the coach is a good one. So I captured a few pictures along the way because, you know what, pictures are just great to keep and share!

Though it wasn't super early when we finally set off, you can see that thanks to the current weather situation, it was quite a dull morning! It was rainy throughout the ride but who cares when you are not walking in it that early in the morning! Having said that, walking in the rain sometimes isn't that bad, taking a walk in the rain can be very refreshing, as long as you have enough clothing on to keep you warm! It is unconventional, but it is a great refresher!

I love it when the driver turns the lights off on a morning trip, it kind of gives a cosy "aahh..now I can take a nap..." feel, especially when you still have hours to go on the journey.

A quick stop at the service station, though we were not allowed to go out of the coach. Normally they do let you go out for a quick break, a drink or something, but we just waited for a driver changeover.

After a lovely long chat with my husband, some editing time and some nap times later, we arrived. As soon as we hit the Oxford Street area, I realised why I miss London so much, and I normally feel this way. But, hey you know, sometimes you've got to go to different places for different reasons! I enjoyed living in London whiles it lasted. Enjoy the journey as you go! It is the best way! The street were buzzing with people, I guess because of the festivities around the corner. Rain or shine, no one was deterred! Where we live now, it is not uncommon to see main streets with very few people on a grey or rainy day.

The coach station...I cannot even count on my fingers how many times I have used this station within this year, 2015! So many life changing moments!

I prefer Megabus personally because their seats are so much more comfortable and the seating areas are more spacious. I especially love their double decker coaches which so far, are always on point!

The first stop of course had to be costa coffee. We did not get the chance to have a proper breakfast before leaving home, so we went along for mochas in a costa coffee shop with a basement seating area. Though I wish the internet had connected faster! By the way I am giving away one these mugs and lots more in my Blogiversary Giveaway! Do check it out if you would love to win some of the great prizes!

Some moments to blog in peace whiles observing and getting more hot drinks. After the errands and appointments were done, we got ready to head back home.

One our way back, we happened to pass by winter wonderland which was in motion at a distance. I never visited winter wonderland whiles living in London, I don't really know why! Hopefully one day, we will go. The journey home was full of chatting mixed with lots of nap interludes and we got home pretty late! Therefore we decided to pass by a restaurant for some food. It is probably one of the best we have been to so far!

So that was one Saturday, in moments, road tripping. I hope you have had a good week and weekend, all the best for the week ahead. Don't forget to share one positive moment for you from this week or weekend.
