The Blackpool Beach And Central Pier | A Day In Blackpool Part 4

We finally arrived on the beach front! With more pictures from our Blackpool Beach trip as promised in last week's Blackpool seagulls post. After a very long walk indeed from the North Pier, we arrived on the sandy beach. On this day, the beach had a good number of people as can be seen in a small snippet on the right side of the picture below. There was also a number of lovely donkeys!

So on we continue on the concrete steps and ground. I like how this beach is pretty much at the edge of the actual city centre. When in the city centre, it doesn't feel like you are around the beach and when on the beach, you quite forget the city centre also! Yet nothing was too far from reach.

I had to take a picture of these perspectives, the detail would not have been appreciated otherwise. The ground, in-between and the rides, piers and homes in the distance.

Now I did not know of the donkey until we got on the beach. Unfortunately not for adult to ride on, just children. Nonetheless a beautiful sight!

I hadn't been to the beach in a while when we went to Blackpool, therefore I was very much pleased to have my feet meet the waters. My husband hesitated, however I finally got him to join me. Gosh I was like a kid again!

I found this creation by the waters, which I call the "sand-cliff". It was quite fascinting to me, though I could not resist jumping onto it after this shot was taken and… well… basically destroying it! Oops...

Did you know that a beach trip is never complete without a "pebble and shell picking spree"? No? Oh! well you do now. And so pebble and shell picking we went, to add to our current collection from Skegness and Southend Beaches.

Looking forward, towards the central pier where we were headed. Walking on more beach while admiring the bravest kids who ventured farther into the sea than I probably would.

Here are the Seagulls mentioned in last weeks post which were hanging around underneath the central pier. We also passed underneath the central pier onto another vast beach area, towards the south pier.

Beautiful and colourful homes, hotels and B&Bs on the sea front. Also, a sitting and hanging out area as well as the tram track were before this part of the beach.

Finishing off with some pictures of the concrete steps, pebbles and the waters below them. In next week's final Blackpool beach post, I will be sharing the last few pictures from our day in Blackpool. Thanks for reading and do stay tuned for the last piece.
