En Route To Blackpool Beach, The Train Journey | A Day In Blackpool Part 1

Which of the beaches in the UK have you been to? I had heard a lot about Blackpool beach but I had never been to visit. In actual fact, the only UK beach I had experienced were Skegness and Southend beaches. So towards the end of summer, I mentioned to my husband that Blackpool beach was somewhere I definitely wanted to visit for the day this year. Just a day in the city, just to experience it and decide if it would be a place to visit again. There are other popular beaches which I would love to visit as well, especially Brighton beach. So we set a date, to do this thing, as to be quite honest we needed a quick tourist break. I share pictures of our trip and how it went in this post and more to come.

We set off early in the morning, super eager for the train journey itself. First off, we went over to Starbucks to grab a breakfast to go. In true fashion, my name was spelt wrongly on the cup and also given to my husband, hehe. We both got a mocha. I had my favourite to get from Starbucks, which is their lovely fruit toast with jam and butter and hubby had a swirl. Morning trips like this are pretty cool especially on a weekday. Most people were at work at the time so this meant that our train was only carrying people who were heading to the beach. There was more than ample space for sitting!

Though I have lived in a few cities, the major part of my growing up life was lived in a small town with villages around it. Therefore, I have always loved the space and beauty the country has to offer. The main happy factor en route, were the views from the train window. I actually took all of these nature pictures through the window whiles the train was either standing or moving. I don't know about you but one thing I do love about train journeys, is the country views especially when moving from one city to the other.

Hubby looking chill and cool. We were both definitely looking forward to more. Everything was very calm and peaceful even though there were a few people on the train equally eager to get to Blackpool.

Motion blur! Though I did not plan to, I captured the first motion blur. Then once I saw how happy it made me just to look at it, I decided to capture more!

On to some country scenery and towns in a distance. Sun bathing cows and farmland. The skies and the weather were extremely kind to us on this day. As much as we were looking forward to getting to the beach, I think the journey was almost equally interesting. Never Enough!

Almost at Blackpool now, in the next post, I shall share more shots of the experience in this city and the beach. Have you been to Blackpool yourself? How was your journey there and what mode of transport did you go by. I would love to know in the comments below!
